Munich or Munchen City is the capital of the state of Bavaria in Germany. With a population of 1,305,522 inhabitants (2006),
Munich is a city with a population the third largest in Germany after Berlin and Hamburg. It is located on the river Isar.

Established under the name Munichen in 1158 by Heinrich the Lion, Duke of Saxony. Munich city was almost completely destroyed when the first and second world-wars, yet it managed to rebuild most of the past full of fairy tales Bayern. October fest are well known, but you can visit the Hofbrauhaus at any time to enjoy a pint of beer. Olympia park, the site of the 1972 Olympics, not to be missed (you can skate on the ice rink and swim in the Olympic pool). To find somber note, take your time to visit the concentration camp at Dachau, which shows a view of creepy at the same time unforgettable, about the atrocities of the Holocaust that occurred not too past this.
