Ashabul Kahfi Cave

Holiday Resolution

"(Remember) when the young men fled for refuge (from their disbelieving folk) to the Cave, they said: 'Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself,
and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!' Therefore We covered up their (sense of) hearing (causing them to go into deep sleep) in the Cave for a number of years."

                                                                                                                               :Surah Al-Kahf, 10-11

Mentioned in Al-Quran in surah Al-Kahf (The Cave), this is believed to be the cave where a group of young, religious men who fled persecution took refuge in and were protected and put to sleep by Allah for 300 years (they thought they were asleep for a day or two).

Ashabul Kahfi Cave ("The Cave Men" or "People of the Cave"), located in the village of Al-Rajib or in the Qur'an called al-Raqim, within 1.5 km from the city of Abu A'landa near the city of Amman, Jordan. Not only in Islam, the story of the Ashabul Kahfi Cave is also well known in the Christian religion.
