Baffin Island

Holiday Resolution


Baffin Island (Inuktitut language: Qikiqtaaluk) is one of the Arctic islands in the region of Nunavut, northern Canada.
It is the largest island in Canada and the fifth largest island in the world, with an area of  507,451 km². In 2004, its population numbered 11,000. Name of the island is taken from the name of the end of British explorer William Baffin.
