The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe) is a Roman Catholic church in the basilica
and national shrine north of Mexico in Mexico City. This temple was built near the site where Our Lady of Guadalupe was born. This place is one of the important sites of religious pilgrimage for those who are Catholic. Every year, the place is visited by millions of people, especially on December 12, which is known as the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Pilgrimage to a sacred place is long overdue and uninterrupted since 1531. In recent years, there is a shrine at the foot of Tepeyac hill.
