Sanssouci

Holiday Resolution


Sanssouci is the former summer palace of Frederick II of Prussia, King of Prussia. The palace is located in Potsdam, near Berlin, Germany.
The palace is often regarded as a rival Versailles.

After World War II, the palace became a tourist attraction in East Germany. After German unification in 1990, Friedrich wishes come true: his body was returned to his palace and buried in a new cemetery overlooking the gardens makes. Sanssouci and its gardens became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990.
