Pongour Waterfall

Holiday Resolution

Dalat is well known as the city of love since it has beautiful and poetic landscapes with many waterfalls, lakes, springs, pine hills, etc.
Pongour Fall is the popular spot that tourists shouldn't miss once traveling here. Its current name transcribed from the local name K'Hor by a French means the master of kaolin area.

Located about 50 km south of Dalat, it is regarded as one of the most beautiful and imposing falls in the West Highland with about 40 km in height and over 100 m in width. Surrounded by 25 ha unspoiled forest, the waterfall slips into numerous sandstone stepping from top to bottom. Its massive water powerfully falling down seven floors produces sonorous sounds that can be heard from miles around.

Pongour is the only waterfall in which the festival takes place annually. On the 15th of the lunar January, young people gather here to take part in joyful activities such as folk games, traditional rituals of the locals.

Pongour Fall is an ideal place for tourists to come and discover its distinctive beauty.
